V School is fantastic! Everything from the self-paced program to the incredibly relevant curriculum and amazing instructors is there to help you achieve your goal of learning the skills you need to pivot into tech. The student network is vast and diverse allowing you to connect with so many unique and intelligent individuals in a daily basis. The Career Prep side of everything is so intentional and powerful that it could be it’s own course. Your Student Success Mentor is your guide to go from eager student to working professional. I’ve had the opportunity to work with wonderful SSMs, instructors and students throughout my time in the Web Development course and look forward to continuing these relationships now that I’ve graduated. If you’re looking for the right bootcamp for you, look no further.

So far V School has provided exactly the support and elements one must obtain to become a JavaScript Developer. The Teachers are thorough in their knowledge of the course material and humble enough to encourage students to take other online JavaScript courses as well. Thank you V School for a First Class Education Opportunity.

I would definitely recommend anyone who's on the fence about V School to just pull the trigger. The environment they provide is perfect for the fast paced learning experience. But most importantly, the people who work there, truly care about your outcomes, and comprehension for each topic. They are willing to put in the time for everyone no matter the size of the class, and are very patient for the slower learning students. I love their product and have no regrets going to V School.

I had a solid experience, which lead to decent work and great opportunities. There was no way I would have been able to push myself this hard teaching myself. A big plus has been the career support, and there drive to help students after the course is complete.

I graduated from V School November 2nd of 2016. I will say, bootcamps are NOT for everyone. If you don't have a personal commitment and drive to succeed, save your time and your money. This school, by it's very nature, is high octane and not for the faint of heart. I, however, do have drive. I was going to learn development anyway, and really wanted to have help where I got stuck. I learned a lot and came out with the basic knowledge necessary to get my foot in the door. They helped me prep for interviews, white boarding, (which three years in I still suck at, but that's a me thing), and have been there for questions I've had all throughout my career. I have been wildly successful and I owe it all to my teachers and peers, and my work ethic of doing what it takes with no excuses. If you're willing to put in the work and the time, V School will undoubtedly be the best decision you ever made.

  • Jordan Lenaburg's review

When I decided I wanted to pursue a career in coding, I looked at the boot camps in my area. After checking out the reviews, and the different options available, I chose V School because the curriculum seemed to be the most relevant to the industry. I was not disappointed. The instructors at V School were knowledgeable and were able to effectively teach the information. After graduating though, I learned the most valuable part of my experience was not the language that I had learned, but rather that V School had taught me how to *think* about code, how to understand the engineering behind code. I ended up getting a job using technology that I had no training or knowledge in, but because of the education of V School I was able to quickly learn and adapt.

  • Lara's review

I graduated in April 2019 from the full stack JS course, and I loved the short lesson and then practice structure. It really helped me learn the concepts, as I could implement them in a solid way immediately. The course was well organised and there was always an assignment/practice project to be working on. It's also a really nice space and full of friendly people!

In not just my opinion but the other students opinions, V School deserves a 6 STAR rating. The best word to describe V School, is Relational. Every employee from the teacher assistants to the CEO genuinely cares about every student and makes everyone feel like a special friend. They bring constant encouragement when problems arise and celebrates every success along the way. When my mother got sick and I had to leave the school, Drex, Laney, Jimena and Sam were there to give me a hug and a shoulder to cry on. With a family first mindset, Mo(COO) and Tony(CFO) made my decision to go home less stressful. I've not just experienced this for myself but have witnessed how much all the staff cares and values every student. Bob Ziroll (Director of Education) does an exceptional job with the curriculum. He stays on trend with the leaders in the industry to provide the best updated curriculum to every student. The instructors do an outstanding job delivering the most difficult material. so it understandable. On a side note, Nate Jensen and Bob both contribute to Scrimba, a free code learning platform, so you can check them both out there. All in all, V School definitely has it all. From the staff to the students I feel like I can gained a second family and tremendous support system. They definitely deserve an AAA rating in my book!!!!!

Save your money. After 3 months and five-figures I can say that this was the biggest mistake of my life. I could have used that money for anything else and been better off. Setting it on fire to keep warm at night would have been a better use. The instructors were hired from recent graduate cohorts with little industry knowledge. It doesn't matter how nice they were/are as people, the lack of experience was astounding. What made this even better was being promised that all instructors had experience and that no instructors were hired from the program itself. Not true. The support staff was non-existent or wildly under-qualified, meaning that the job placement support we were supposed to receive didn't happen. I could go on, but you get the picture I'm painting. Far too many students from my cohort failed to find programming jobs. Yet a 100% placement rate is still advertised? I've kept in touch with folks from my graduating class and they experienced the same frustrations and as I did. This isn't a poor review from someone who didn't get a phone call back or something trivial, this is from someone who spent over $10k here and feels like the worlds biggest idiot for it. These types of programs will be the next ITT Tech, stay away.

I'm about 3 weeks in but am very satisfied so far. My expectations going in were to learn valuable and relevant coding skills, build a network, and create a professional portfolio and resume that will guarantee employment afterwards. I have no doubt that these will be fulfilled based on my progress so far. The projects are difficult but manageable. There is plenty of assistance. The curriculum is clearly geared toward building a job-ready portfolio/resume. It is clear that the academic advisors care about your individual career path. I don't expect to be given everything, but am impressed with the facilitation V School provides. Highly recommended. I will post another review upon graduation.

I was in a dead end job with no great future prospects. I had a family that I was trying to support and couldn't see myself going back to school while trying to work and support my family at the same time until I came across V School. In 12 weeks I was able to get enough education to turn my life around and set me on a path with a great future where I would be able to provide for my family and be happy doing it. Thank you V School for helping me reset my life!
