What Thinkful students are saying

Robert W., Thinkful Grad

Current Job: Industrial Equipment Operator

I’m excited that I can receive college credit for both of my Thinkful Technology Fundamentals and Cybersecurity certificates. I’m looking into Purdue University Global for Cybersecurity while I study for the CompTIA and Security+ exams.

FAQs

An ACE© Credit recommendation represents college-level equivalencies based on a review of training and other sources of learning outside the college classroom, such as online courses, national exams, and certificates. ACE© decides if the learning experience has similar outcomes to a college course. The recommendation identifies and describes the course subject, level of learning, and the number of credit hours recommended based on the review.

Thinkful is not accredited as it is not a degree granting institution. However, Thinkful’s Technology Fundamentals and Cybersecurity Certificate programs have gone through an intensive quality review process by the American Council on Education (ACE©).

Thinkful does not guarantee or grant credit. The ACE© recommendation is a recommendation for college-level equivalencies based on a review of Thinkful’s programs. The decision to grant, accept, or transfer credit is subject to the sole and absolute discretion of an educational institution.

Each institution decides what will count as transfer credit and how it will transfer. We have articulation agreements with the following universities that have agreed to recognize credit transfers upon successfully completing Thinkful's Technology Fundamentals and/or Cybersecurity program:

Even if your desired institution isn’t listed, they may still provide transfer credit at their discretion based on the ACE© recommendation. Contact your desired institution to find out if and how ACE© recommended credit is accepted.

As we continue to expand our network of institutions who agree to recognize Thinkful’s recommended ACE© college credit, graduates will be first to know via email.

The latest list of ACE© Credit recommended courses from Thinkful with effective dates can be found here.

Potential transferable credits will depend on your preferred institution. See below for our most up-to-date records of institutions that have agreed to accept credit transfers:

If you have further questions on how Thinkful’s ACE© college credit recommendation works, including which degree programs and institutions your employer may cover for you to continue your education, please submit a request through Guild’s Help Center

To share proof of completion with schools, certificate graduates will receive an email with the process to request and receive their transcript. If you are a recent graduate of an ACE© eligible Thinkful program and did not receive steps to requesting your transcript, please reach out to the Thinkful success team at success@thinkful.com.
