This course is perfect for:
It’s impossible to deny the influence of great design on the web. It lets us build clear, focused products. In this course, you’ll learn that design is a methodical approach to problem solving. You'll gain real-world experience from day one. You'll start by creating user stories, then move on to understanding customers and exploring concepts like color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. As with all Thinkful courses, you’ll apply these new concepts and hard skills (like Photoshop) by digging into impressive projects for your portfolio. At each step, you'll have an experienced designer by your side to help you tackle difficult design decisions.
Work with an experienced designer to learn best practices, receive actionable feedback on your work, and mock prototypes together.
Learn by understanding design from the ground up as you explore mindmaps, build styleguides, and redefine Amazon's entire brand.
Join 40+ hours of Workshops and Q&A sessions every week. You'll have unlimited access as a Thinkful student.
Chat with other students, mentors, and alumni on Slack to get help instantly and learn best practices.

Already an experienced Frontend engineer, Nicolas wanted to compliment his technical skills with a strong understanding of design and UX. Two Thinkful courses later, he's already used his skills on his own side projects and lined up a freelance job with Netflix!
As the CEO of WeVue, Taylor needed to improve his design skills to properly manage a growing team. Desigining real projects in the course allowed him to do exactly that. His Craigslist redesign even attracted attention from Craig Newmark himself!
