AI PROMPT ENGINEERING PROGRAM TERMS  

Your enrollment in the AI Prompt Engineering Certificate Program (the “Program”) is both voluntary and without any warranties or indemnities from Thinkful, Inc. (“Thinkful”). You understand that all information disclosed to you is and shall remain confidential information of Thinkful and its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries, if applicable (the “Company”). You shall not disclose this information to any third party and will only use this information to complete the Program. 

Program Details. In order to participate in the Program, you must be 18 years old. You will need to create an account on Thinkful.com. If you already have a Thinkful account, you can use your existing account. However, you may only enroll in one Thinkful program at a time. You understand that your enrollment in the Program is subject to these Program Terms, the Thinkful Terms of Service and Thinkful Privacy Policy.  You understand that the Program may be subject to additional terms (as provided by Company). Residents of Texas, Washington D.C, Utah, or anyone outside of the United States are not eligible to enroll in this Program.  

You acknowledge that to successfully complete the Program, you must have access to a computer with an internet browser, preferably Google Chrome Browser. Company does not provide computers or IT support. You understand that the Program has been created in part on GPT-4, Open AI’s generation model. Company reserves the right to delay the start of, cancel, or modify the Program. 

Maximum Time to Completion. The maximum time to complete the Program is eight (8) weeks. If you successfully complete the Program within the maximum time allotted, you will receive a digital Thinkful certificate of completion which will be emailed to you in the name you used when registering for the Program. You cannot purchase an extension after the maximum time to completion has been consumed. If you reach the maximum time for completion of the Program and you have not completed the Program, you will be dismissed. If you are dismissed for any reason you may not be eligible to re-enroll in any other Thinkful programs.  

 

Program Fee. If you wish to withdraw from the Program and receive a full refund of the Program Fee, you must do so within three (3) business days from the date you enrolled in the Program.  In order to withdraw, you must fill out a withdrawal form here. You will receive written notice acknowledging your withdraw request within seven (7) business days after receipt of your request by Company. You will receive a refund of the Program Fee within thirty (30) days of Company’s receipt of your withdrawal request. Unless prohibited by applicable law, outside of the aforementioned three (3) business days window, the Program Fee paid is non-refundable regardless of whether you are able to start or complete the Program for which you have registered or if you are removed from the Program by Company for a violation of our terms or other applicable policies. A full refund of the Program Fee will be provided if the Program is discontinued by Company and this prevents you from completing the Program. In no event will a refund be greater than what was paid to Company. Refunds will be totally consummated within 30 days after the effective date of termination and be made to the original source(s)/method(s) of payment. 

 

Thinkful is not accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The Program is not intended to be available for any academic transfer credit or similar application. This Program is not designed for any specific industry professional development or continuing education credits.  

 

Contributions. During the course of the Program, you may, at your sole discretion, provide content, comments, suggestions, improvements, modifications, ideas, or other materials in connection with the Program and related to the material being presented to you (“Contributions”). All Contributions provided during the Program shall be deemed the exclusive property of the Company and you hereby irrevocably assign to Company all right, title, and interest in and to the Contributions, including any and all intellectual property rights therein. You agree you will not provide Contributions that infringe upon or violate third party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other applicable laws or regulations. You acknowledge and agree that, with respect to your Contributions, Company has the right to use, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works, in whole or in part, in any manner or medium, now known or developed in the future, without any compensation or any attribution to you. You agree to cooperate with Company to enable Company to register and protect any associated intellectual property rights and/or confidential information.  

Termination of Access. Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend your access to the Program at any time, in our sole discretion, for any reason, without prior notice or liability.  

Student Inquiry Policy.  Thinkful encourages you to bring all inquiries about your Program experience to its attention. Many questions or concerns that you may have can be resolved simply through discussion. Please submit your inquiry directly to Thinkful Student Help Center with the title “AI Prompt Engineering Inquiry: Your Full Name.” You should include an outline of the inquiry as well as any relevant evidence that pertains to the specific situation. 

Modifications. Company reserves the right to make changes to these Program Terms (including any additional terms provided by Company) from time to time. You agree that we may notify you of such changes by posting them on the Program Terms website or by sending you notice via email. While we will timely provide notice of modifications, it is your responsibility to check these Program Terms periodically for changes. You understand and agree that your use of the Program following notification of any changes to these Program Terms will be deemed acceptance of the updated terms.  

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY IS PROVIDING YOU ACCESS TO THE PROGRAM SOLELY ON AN “AS IS” BASIS AND WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDNG ANY WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO EMPLOYMENT OR REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS AND ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH USE OF THE PROGRAM, AND IN NO EVENT WILL COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. COMPANY SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS, EXPENSES, OR OTHER LIABILITIES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THE PROGRAM. IN NO EVENT SHALL COMPANY’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).
